Online Banking
If you apply for Online Banking, we will collect personally identifiable information about you, just as we would for a transaction conducted in person at a branch. We will use this information (and may furnish it to a third-party service provider) to complete a transaction that you have initiated, to provide you with the services that you have requested, or as otherwise permitted by you or by law. The Bank collects personally identifiable information about you only on secure Web pages. There are two ways to determine whether or not the Web page you are visiting is secure:
1. Look at the address of the Web page being viewed. An "s" at the end of http indicates that you have accessed a secure server using SSL technology (defined below). Thus, any web page beginning with https:// is secure.
2. If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, Netscape Navigator 6.1 or a higher version of either of these browsers, look at the lower right hand corner of the browser's window. A picture of a lock or key, depending on the browser, should be visible. If the lock is closed or the key is solid, you are visiting a secure web page. If the lock is open or the key is broken, however, the site you are visiting is not secure.

SSL
SSL is the abbreviation for an encryption technology called Secure Sockets Layer. SSL provides secure communications over the Internet by verifying that the server to which you are connected is the one it claims to be. It also encrypts all transactions between the parties.
Encryption
Encryption is the way in which information is scrambled when it is sent over the Internet. Your data is made indecipherable to any other party when encryption is used. The strongest form of encryption available over the Internet today is 128-bit. We currently accept 128-bit or higher encryption for security.
Cookies
Cookies are pieces of data assigned by a Web Server to the browser on your PC. Cookies help web sites recognize return visitors. When you return to a web site that you have visited before your browser gives this data back to the server. The site that has sent the cookie is the only one that can read the cookie.
Although you can set your browser to reject cookies. If you do reject cookies, however, you may not be able to access or use all parts of this Web site.
